USE OF CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING
Impairment experienced by a driver using a cell phone is equivalent to the driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.8%.
Driving while distracted (know as DWD) is responsible for 25% of all car accidents with many of those coming from the distractions of using a cell phone or other mobile device.
The amount of brain activity devoted to driving may decrease by as much as 37% when using cell phone. Drivers on cell phones tend to drive more slowly, braked more slowly and are more likely to crash.
