LUBRICANT

LUBRICANT
ENGINE OIL
All moving parts in an automobile engine need to be lubricated. If not, frication will occur, causing increased power consumption in the process damaging the moving parts of the engine.
Below are some qualities of a good lubricant.
- A good lubricant must reduce frication in all the moving parts of the engine.
- A good lubricant must clear the engine.
- A good lubricant must seal the engine.
- A good lubricant must have anti foam qualities.
- A good lubricant must evacuate heat from the engine.
- A good lubricant must serves a noise-reducing cushion.
When you have a lubricant that has all the qualities mentioned above what you will get is better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions from your vehicle but you must always use the engine oil recommended by your vehicle manufacturer because it one of the best ways to keep your vehicle in top operating condition. Some manufacturers specifically advise against using oil additives.
Your owner's manual will tell you what type of oil to use and how often to have it changed.
